London Based Tax Specialist Secures Key Accolade

An international tax partner in the London office of Irwin Mitchell has been named as one of the 2023 eprivateclient NextGen Leaders.

Matthew Briggs joined the firm in June and his expertise in international tax and trusts, global estate planning and philanthropy for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families has made him a key member of the private wealth team.

The 2023 eprivateclient NextGen Leaders was open to nominees from within the private client advisory professions with 17 years or less industry experience. 

Senior practitioners and the wealth management community were invited to nominate outstanding UK and UK Crown Dependency-based young professionals with whom they work or do business.

Matthew was one of 81 individuals ranked this year, selected from just under 500 nominations, with judging based on the qualities and achievements of the nominee and the reputation and performance of the firm for which they work.

Feedback from superiors was taken into account, as well as trajectory of promotion and business development success and age (i.e. younger individuals achieving relatively senior positions). The judging panel also looked at volunteering outside of work and mentoring and advocacy within the industry.

Those professionals who made the 2023 list are set to attend a reception on 21 September 2023 at Cazenove Capital, Barbican, London to mark their achievement.
