Biography
I am an adviser to families in the UK and abroad and help them in organising their affairs for a secure future.
My role involves the careful arrangement of assets to cater to the family’s long-term objectives and collaborating with other professionals to safeguard multigenerational family wealth.
As a specialist in intricate inheritance matters, I provide tax, trust and estate planning expertise to families with complex dynamics, giving clear, strategic advice for the responsible stewardship and smooth transition of dynastic wealth.
Operating across London and the home counties, I work with families from this region and beyond, taking a respectful and sensitive approach in navigating issues within the family and addressing conflicts to achieve the best results.
I particularly enjoy assisting clients in realising their philanthropic ambitions and crafting legacies that embody their values for generations to come.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Our people and the approach to collaborative working. I really benefit from being part of a large multi-service firm that is full of talented and relatable individuals - and so do my clients. We have a very supportive environment.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The relationships that I build with my clients. I work in an area of law that focuses on private individuals and it's an honour to become their trusted adviser.
What inspired you to get into law?
At school, my class was visited by a magistrate to talk about our legal system. We then took part in a mock trial and were each given roles to play. It was a fun and engaging first experience of the law and I enjoyed constructing an argument and thinking critically.
Even though I did not go down the path of a contentious legal career, I am still faced with interesting challenges and find fulfilment in helping to solve my clients’ problems.
What do you do away from the office?
As a busy dad, I am usually running around after my four children, but if time allows, there are many beautiful places for us to enjoy as a family near the Surrey/Hampshire border area where we live. We're also not far from London and it's great to take advantage of city experiences, too.
