Over £800 Raised For Child Brain Injury Trust
A Leeds lawyer has taken on the heights of the Peak District Challenge for the third consecutive year to raise funds for a brain injury charity.
David King, a serious injury expert at Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds office hiked 25km across the steep terrain on 21 September with his wife Lindsey and carrying their nine-month-old daughter Ada. They completed the feat in aid of the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) and were joined by the charity’s bear Albie during the trek.
Just a week later, David faced a further fund-raising challenge when he took part in the Northampton half-marathon which took place on 28 September.
Across both events, a total of £870 has been raised for CBIT so far.
Expert Opinion
“CBIT does some incredible work across the UK helping people affected by childhood acquired brain injury, and it was a pleasure to take part in the Peak District Challenge and Northampton half-marathon in aid of the charity.
Lindsey and I have taken part in the Peak District Challenge three years in a row now, and this year presented a new challenge with me carrying Ada, but it also made it an even more memorable experience.
We have raised £870 so far, which is brilliant, and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone that donated and helped out in any way. Your support is much appreciated!”
