Our Work In Manufacturing
Irwin Mitchell provided planning and environmental advice to a large motor manufacturer, in relation to the addition of rooftop solar arrays on the manufacturing plant, with a view to meeting the company’s net zero aims but also to reduce the environmental impact of the manufacturing plant in the short to long term. Another advantage is to enable the organisation to be energy secure.
I have loved acting for the waste management and renewable energy sectors and seeing how they have evolved over time. Using my platform and passion to articulate change bringing with it positive outcomes for the businesses I advise and the environment.
A key element to being in such a position is being able to share best practice amongst clients and my professional network enabling collaboration and the pollination of ideas is the way I see I can affect the greatest change for us all to take responsibility in meeting our future environmental needs.

Sustainability in business is about making a difference beyond short-term interests to build a better and fairer world for people and the planet with our finite level of resources. It doesn’t mean that business should not generate profit (far from it) but it’s long term value generation that will make the difference and comes from taking responsibility and having shared purpose at the centre.
