Why Can You Claim Now?

After years of legal restrictions preventing sufferers from making claims, President Biden passed the Camp LeJeune Justice Act. This act allows military personnel and their family members to make a claim against the US government. There are no restrictions on the location of the person making the claim. British service personnel and their families can therefore make a claim against the US government.

What Are The Requirements For Making A Claim?

To make a claim, you need to have spent more than 30 days at Camp LeJeune between 1953 and 1987. This doesn’t have to be consecutive days. Your 30 days can spread out over the 34 years.

You must submit a claim within two years from the 10th August 2022. This is the date in which the Act passed by President Biden came into effect.
