Bladder & Bowel UK are pleased to announce the formation of the Bladder & Bowel UK legal panel. The panel brings together Irwin Mitchell and four other leading legal companies working across medical negligence and serious injury with expertise in bladder and bowel issues.
The panel has been formed in response to the need for expanded signposting as identified through the national Bladder & Bowel UK confidential helpline.
An increase in clinical and complex enquiries has highlighted the need for trusted partners working around issues of clinical negligence. The establishment of the panel incorporates legal advice into the comprehensive range of services signposted to by the organisation.
Issues of medical negligence and serious injury can be emotionally challenging, and potential claims need to be treated with sensitivity from the outset. The five members of the Bladder & Bowel UK panel are some of the most experienced and well-respected medical negligence specialists with proven track records.
They’re accredited to work in the field under the Clinical Negligence Accreditation Scheme, which requires members to maintain high levels of knowledge and competency in clinical negligence law.
In many cases, due to the nature of bladder and bowel issues, individuals may have not previously spoken about their condition, or understood it in relation to injury or negligence. By signposting to more information, it’s hoped there’ll be greater transparency and fair access for people who are affected.
The panel presents an opportunity for individuals and their families to make the right choice for them at the post appropriate time; no personal information is ever shared from Bladder & Bowel UK.
Sharon Williams, a senior associate solicitor in Irwin Mitchell’s medical negligence team, says:
“We’re delighted to be appointed to Bladder & Bowel UK’s legal panel. As a firm, we’ve helped many clients who’ve experienced bladder and bowel issues, and know all too well the difficulties and struggles they face on a daily basis as consequence.
“Bladder and Bowel UK work tirelessly to support people with bladder and bowel problems. We’re looking forward to helping complement that service with our legal expertise to make a positive difference in people’s lives.”
