We are proud to sponsor the Army Wives who recently successfully completed their assault on Mount Kilimanjaro. Their achievement was the culmination of months of hard training. The expedition was organised to raise money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers which is a charity dedicated to supporting the children of men and women killed whilst serving in the British Armed Forces.
Speaking in the month before the expedition the Army Wives, who had met members of the IM Military Injury Claims Team during training, said:
“We are a group of Army Wives and mothers who’s goal is to raise enough money to assist our chosen charity “Scotty’s Little Soldiers” in purchasing a holiday home for the bereaved families of our fallen heroes.
This climb is meant to represent the strength of mothers, wives, and friends enduring together, and to remind us all that we stand beside our extended “military family” and want to support them and help if even a little. Irwin Mitchell have been fantastic in supporting us and with their sponsorship, we have been able to kit ourselves out with all we need for our trip.”
After reaching the summit and being pictured with the IM flag, the team again thanked IM for their support but of course all the hard work was done by the Army Wives themselves, who were dedicated to achieving their goal. IM’s Cambridge office, which opened in June this year have plans to carry out further projects with Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
