Leading law firm Ascent Legal Scotland/Irwin Mitchell Scotland has won the Corporate Social Responsibility Firm of the year at the Law Awards of Scotland - the second award for its community work the firm has secured this year.
At a ceremony held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow on 12th September, the best legal firms and individuals that Scotland has to offer were honoured at The Law Awards of Scotland, which was celebrating its 10th anniversary as the country’s premier legal event.
Ascent Legal Scotland/Irwin Mitchell Scotland were earlier this year rewarded for their fundraising efforts at the Scott and Co Scottish Legal Awards.
Lawyers and staff from the firm have wowed judges with their dedication to local charities such as Yorkhill Children’s Foundation in Glasgow, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Macmillan Cancer Support and Child Bereavement UK.
This award recognised their participation in various community activities such as debt advice at schools, career guidance and their participation in training of legal rights at community colleges of students.
