Irwin Mitchell Scotland is currently engaged in a project aimed at educating school children on the law and careers in the legal profession.
Khalda Wali and Dalene Whelan from the firm’s Business Legal Services (BLS) Team, recently carried out a mock trial at Townhill Primary School, Hamilton. The trial, which was based on the well known Donoghue v Stevenson negligence case, provided children with the opportunity to role play and discuss the issues involved.
The school’s Head Teacher, Barbara Sefton, said:
“The pupils enjoyed the experience and were certainly engaged in learning about consumer rights.”
Myra Scott and Lucy McMeekin, also from Irwin Mitchell Scotland’s BLS Team, recently attended a careers evening at Paisley Grammar School. Here they offered debt advice to children, along with information about the various careers and routes into the legal profession.
