Irwin Mitchell’s fast growing Will, Trust and Estate Disputes team has been bolstered with two new recruits in its Sheffield and Birmingham offices alongside two trainees qualifying into the Leeds and Sheffield offices.
The team, which is the largest specialist team outside London, was ranked number one in the recent independent Legal 500 guide and has also recently been recognised by the Yorkshire Legal Awards.
Doug Houghton recently joined the team in Birmingham as an Associate Solicitor from Higgs & Sons and is a well-regarded dispute resolution expert specialising in a wide range of trust and probate disputes. Doug is a full member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS). He will be working with Partner Gavin Faber who joined the team last year.
Solicitor Carla Rist joined the team in the Sheffield office from hlw Keeble Hawsons where she has built up a reputation in dealing with contentious probate matters. Carla is an Associate member of ACTAPS.

Trainee solicitors Liam Brooke and Ashleigh Carr have also recently qualified into the Leeds and Sheffield offices respectively.
