Law Firm’s Strength in Depth Recognised by Independent Guide

The latest independent Legal 500 UK 2025 Guide recognises Irwin Mitchell as a top tier law firm with 24 practice areas featuring in 62 categories, with 139 individual lawyers recommended 148 times in the UK guide.

The Legal 500 rankings have been running for more than 30 years and is based on feedback from thousands of clients, interviews with leading industry figures, law firm submissions and a team of researchers.

In the latest rankings Irwin Mitchell has seen 18 of its teams move up and an impressive 82 retaining their current ranking.  We also saw a 23% increase in the number of individuals being personally ranked this year, and we recorded the most referee responses out of all the UK legal firms who entered.

The excellent results showcase Irwin Mitchell’s strength in depth as a full-service firm with advice for both individuals and businesses praised by clients responding to researchers for the guide.

Overall 24 of the firm’s practice areas were ranked across 14 offices in England, Wales and Scotland; with 27 tier 1 practice rankings; while 4 practices got 'Firms to watch'. In total, 82 practices maintained their ranking, while 18 areas improved on their previous years ranking result.
