Banking And Finance Team Helps Complete Latest Deal For Leading Lender
Irwin Mitchell’s Banking & Finance team has advised alternative finance provider ThinCats on its deal to partner with Wiltshire accountancy firm, Charlton Baker, and support its ambitious expansion plans.
The partnership with ThinCats will accelerate Charlton Baker’s buy and build strategy following a string of acquisitions in 2022. Funding has been provided to support initial purchases of A&N accountancy services, and Innervision Accountancy Solutions. There is also additional capital available to back future acquisitions.
Ben Kimball, director of business development at ThinCats, said: “I’m delighted to be supporting Scott and the expert team at Charlton Baker. They have established a distinctive and attractive proposition which has all the ingredients to build on its tremendous success to date.
“This new partnership means they are well positioned to capitalise on opportunities in a highly fragmented market. Our funding is ideal to support fast growing businesses pursuing buy-and-build strategies like Charlton Baker, so we are thrilled to be playing our part in their exciting plans for the future.”
Paddy Sturman, partner at Irwin Mitchell, advised ThinCats on this latest deal. It follows other recent ThinCats’ projects that Irwin Mitchell has advised on including a funding package for East Midlands based concrete and ground remediation business, Restek.
