Latest News Follows 104 Recent Promotions To Associate, Senior Associate And Legal Director
Irwin Mitchell has promoted 11 people to Partner roles across the firm as part of its latest annual process.
The promotions include five Complex Personal Injury solicitors, two from Court of Protection, three Private Client lawyers and a Family lawyer.
The new Partners are spread across Irwin Mitchell’s office network with five in London, two in Birmingham, and one each in Gatwick, Leeds, Newcastle and Manchester.
The newly promoted Partners are: Iain Shoolbred (workplace illness), Alexandra Winch (Medical Negligence, Tom Gough (Medical Negligence), Sofie Toft (Serious Injury), Laura McIlduff (Serious Injury), Victoria Ward (Court of Protection), Lucy Bazley (Court of Protection), Marie Kilgallen (Family), Rose Macfarlane (Private Client), Kat Wainman (Private Client), Mandeep Khroud (Immigration).
Four of the new Partners also completed their training contracts with Irwin Mitchell and have progressed their careers right through to Partnership.
The group includes nine females and two males which is indicative of Irwin Mitchell’s gender balance as the top 50 firm with highest percentage of female partners. The firm is generally made up of c.70% females.
The news follows the recent promotion of 104 colleagues to Associate, Senior Associate and Legal Director roles.

In the past 12 months Irwin Mitchell has completed deals to invest in Scottish Law Firm Wright Johnston and Mackenzie and to acquire Silk Family Law in the Northeast of England.
The firm has also opened a new Brighton office and recruited 14 new Partners across the UK this financial year including a new regulatory team, family lawyers, private client specialists and environment and real estate experts.
The new promotions are active from 1st May 2024 subject to regulatory approval.
