Strategic hire shows commitment to Firm’s Private Client offering in the North
Irwin Mitchell has strengthened its commitment to Private Client Services in the North with the appointment of Solicitor Thomas Hazlewood, further adding to the second largest private client team in the country.*
Tom joins at a time of continued growth, with two other new starters in the team, trainee solicitor Nancy Milton and paralegal Natalie Wright – following the appointment of Associate Solicitor Clare Walker in May.
Tom joins Irwin Mitchell from HCR Hewitsons. He specialises in advising clients on succession and inheritance tax planning including wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney as well as probate and estate administration. He advises individuals, married couples, co-habitees and those with families. He also has experience of working with business owners, trustees, and trusts and has a keen interest in advising rural businesses and land owners.

Tom joins an award winning team, recently shortlisted as Probate Provider of the Year (North & Midlands) at the British Wills and Probate Awards and being tier 1 in Yorkshire for private client in Legal 500. The team has also been awarded platinum accreditation from professional association STEP as part of their employee partnership programme. The programme, which was founded in 2014, highlights best practices in learning and staff development. There are three levels of accreditation, with platinum being the highest available.
