Irwin Mitchell’s wealth management arm IM Asset Management Limited (IMAML) has appointed financial services industry expert Simon Hynes as a non-executive director to its Board.
Simon is an independent non-exec director and consultant with 33 years’ experience in financial services. He has extensive UK and European asset management distribution leadership expertise gained at organisations including Legal and General Investment Management, Aviva and Jupiter Fund Management. He is a senior adviser to the Fund Boards Council and independent non-exec director at Nedgroup Investments and before his investment career Simon was a Royal Air Force officer at RAF Cranwell.
IMAML has a team of 82 offering asset management, financial planning, tax planning and other financial services and currently has c. £1.2bn assets under management. Its clients include personal injury clients as well as, individuals and charities.
Launched in 2000, IMAML is going through a time of growth having recently agreed deals to acquire asset management firms TWP Wealth in Cheshire, and Leeds based Andrews Gwynne. Originally launched to provide financial planning and asset management to personal injury clients receiving large settlements. ln 2017 their services were broadened to provide wider Financial and Investment Advice to individuals investors and external clients.
