Siri Siriwardene Joins Firm From BLM To Drive Growth Strategy For High Net Worth Clients And Business Owners
Irwin Mitchell has appointed leading private wealth and business expert Siri Siriwardene to drive growth amongst business owners and high net worth clients.
Siri joins from BLM, where he was Head of Commercial Advisory and Private Wealth. He has over 26years' experience leading growth in departments and organisations - 20 of which are in the legal sector. He has particular expertise in strategic planning aligned to , operational and cultural change management, marketing, M&A and the creation of new business units.
Siri joins existing Directors of Strategic growth Hannah Clipston and Mandy Luckman who cover corporates and institutions and serious injured clients respectively. He will report into Chief Commercial Officer Vicky Brackett following the firm’s reorganisation last year into two teams: Clients Services and Commercial Growth.
Earlier in 2022 Kate Fergusson joined as Head of Responsible Business from Pinsent Masons. The Commercial Growth leadership team is completed by Director of Sales Ben Middleton, Director of Marketing and Propositions David Ward and Head of International Bryan Bletso.
In his new role Siri will work closely with the firm’s Client Services and Commercial Growth teams to analyse and help meet the broad needs of existing clients as well as drive a strategic growth plan targeting new business with a particular focus on high net worth and business owner clients.
Irwin Mitchell’s private client team is the 3rd largest in the country by fee earner count, while its family law team is the largest such team. Its financial planning teams also have more than £1bn of assets under management.

Last year Siri was also appointed to the Oxfordshire Cricket Board’s advisory team and will lead on equality, diversity and inclusion strategy and compliance following guidance set out by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
Irwin Mitchell also recently announced the opening of two new offices in Cardiff and Liverpool as it develops its Flexible By Choice hybrid approach to working and paid all colleagues a one off cost of living payment.
