Success Continues For Northern Commercial Property Team At Insider Property Industry Awards
The northern commercial property team at Irwin Mitchell has once again won the Insider Property Law Firm of the Year Award.
Held at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, the event recognises those individuals and businesses at the forefront of shaping Yorkshire’s environment and continue to make the region one the UK’s investment hotspots.
With last year’s event cancelled due to the lockdown, the Irwin Mitchell northern transactional commercial property team has retained a title they first scooped in 2019, focusing in on key areas where the firm has made the biggest difference to clients, colleagues and communities.
The judges were most impressed with Irwin Mitchell’s work with Newmarket Lane, a joint venture between Henry Boot Developments and Yorkcourt Properties, on one of the largest regeneration projects of its kind in the UK.
The development of the 200 acre Newmarket Colliery site will secure vital inward investment, creating thousands of new jobs and helping to deliver a thriving local economy.
The two further projects highlighted, included advising Artisan Kirkstall Leeds in relation to its acquisition of Kirkstall Place from Tesco and Leeds City Council and advising Rula Developments on development of a distribution warehouse at Tankersley.
The Artisan development will see the much needed regeneration of the 5.9 acre site, with the creation of 263 houses, including affordable housing and a commercial unit.
