Irwin Mitchell Charites Foundation Gives To Homeless Charities This Christmas
Christmas is the season for giving and goodwill, and with Christmas Day drawing ever closer we’re proud to be donating to homeless charities across the country.
Through the Irwin Mitchell Charites Foundation, each of our offices will be donating £5,000 to a local homeless charity, to support them during the festive season and in the New Year.
Homeless charities are depended on by many, especially at this time of the year when temperatures drop extremely low. Our aim is to support the amazing work these charities do to help people in this unfortunate position.
Here are the charities our offices will be supporting:
Birmingham – Let's Feed Brum
Bristol – Caring in Bristol and Bristol Soup Run Trust
Cambridge – Cambridge Street Aid and It Takes A City Cambridge
Chichester – The Four Street Project and Stonepillow
Gatwick – Renewed Hope and Crawley Open House
Glasgow – Emmaus Glasgow and Glasgow City Mission
Leeds – Change Grow Live and Beacon
London – Women’s Aid and Whitechapel Mission
Manchester – Mustard Tree and Whitechapel Mission
Newbury – New Beginnings and Loose Ends
Newcastle – De Paul and West End Foodbank
Sheffield – Ben's Centre and The Sunday Centre
Southampton – Step by Step.
Renewed Hope Trust told us: “Your donation will have a significant impact on the support we’re able to provide to local homeless people in 2022, as we have just signed a lease on a 4-bedroom property which we will use to house four of our homeless guests while they get back on their feet. After a few weeks or months of meeting with our support worker, they will return to independent living and we will be able to take in another four people in need.”
Our Responsible Business Manager Kate Rawlings also shares her thoughts on our charitable efforts here: “Making a real difference in our communities is something we’re really passionate about as a business so we’re thrilled the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation is making these donations again this year.”
“We’ve seen how heavily impacted charities have been over the last few years and it’s amazing to be able to help the charities that may need extra support over the festive period.”
