As part of the in-depth analysis, it has revealed that Irwin Mitchell’s total litigation annual turnover stands at £175m, the second highest of all UK firms. The guide also highlights that Irwin Mitchell carries out the most claimant litigation in the UK.
Irwin Mitchell has 140 partners leading litigation teams across the country helping both individuals and businesses to resolve their legal and financial disputes.
The team carries out all manner of legal and financial cases from personal injury to arguments over wills, trusts and estates; divorce; property disagreements or commercial disputes for businesses.
The high profile ranking for the firm follows a strong performance last week in the Legal 500 rankings. Here it was revealed that 10 Irwin Mitchell teams improved their rankings along with the firm being named a top tier, number one law in 32 separate practice areas.
Commenting on the latest success, Andrew Tucker, Group CEO at Irwin Mitchell, said:
Expert Opinion
“I’m delighted that this influential report has recognised our litigation strength by ranking us second in the UK by turnover.
“Although this figure indicates our significant strength in depth, what really sets us apart when it comes to helping our clients through their legal and financial disputes is our focus on the individual, and ensuring we clearly understand their priorities.
“We specialise in understanding what people are going through, whether it’s an individual, family or business issue, and we pride ourselves on making sure we protect what matters most to them.”
Andrew Tucker - CEO
Recent figures also from The Lawyer show that Irwin Mitchell was one of the top three busiest law firms in UK courts throughout July and August despite the Covid-19 restrictions in place.
During the past six months Irwin Mitchell has been involved in several pilots with courts services helping to digitalise the process and move from paper to electronic bundles and utilising video technology to helping cases to progress.
