National Paralegal Awards Recognises Excellence In Legal Industry
Two paralegals at leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell have been nominated for gongs at the 2020 National Paralegal Awards.
Marie Newton, a litigation paralegal in Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office who has been at the firm since 2015, is nominated in two categories: Best Civil Litigation Paralegal and Paralegal of the Year – Midlands/North.
Meanwhile Joshua Fowler, based in the firm’s London Tax, Trusts and Estates team since 2018, is up for Paralegal of the Year – South. The awards will take place on 27 March at Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
The National Paralegal Awards, organised by the Professional Paralegal Register, seeks to recognise the excellent work of paralegals in law firms, as well as the firms that support the learning and development of paralegals.
The judging panel is made up of 17 legal and business experts in the field who independently assess the submissions and decide on the best and brightest in the legal sector.
Expert Opinion
“I am delighted to see Marie and Joshua nominated for their respective awards, which is a testament to the excellence of our paralegals here at Irwin Mitchell.
“Both have proven themselves time and time again to be invaluable resources for their teams and the wider national work we do. Without them, and all of our paralegals in the firm, we would simply not be as strong as we are.
“I wish Marie and Joshua the best of luck and the whole Private Wealth division will be cheering them on.” Paula Myers - Partner
The nominations are the latest in a string of nods to Irwin Mitchell’s excellence, having recently been nominated for three awards including Law Firm of the Year at the LexisNexis Legal Awards.
