Teenager Recognised At Event For Fund-raising Effort
The Leeds office of national law firm Irwin Mitchell has revealed its delight after one of its inspirational young clients was among the winners at the prestigious Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards.
Held at New Dock Hall on 11 October, the special event honoured incredible young people from across the region, with 17-year-old Leah Bell securing the Fundraiser prize for the 13 to 18 category after she raised more than £1,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance by doing a 10,000ft skydive in May this year.
Irwin Mitchell helped Leah access specialist support after she was seriously injured in a road traffic collision which sadly claimed the lives of her father and two step brothers around a decade ago. The firm’s specialist Court of Protection team also continue to manage a trust established for Leah, who was determined to raise the funds as a thank you to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance for its tireless work at the scene of the devastating incident.
