Family Lawyer Tara Wright Joins Resolution National Standards Committee
A Birmingham-based family law solicitor has been appointed to one of Resolution’s national committees.
Solicitor Tara Wright, who trained with leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell and is a part of its market-leading Family Law team, has been appointed to the Resolution Standards Committee which oversees the Resolution Guide to Good Practice.
Resolution is a national family practitioner group with over 6,500 family law professionals as its membership. The organisation has been at the forefront of many high-profile campaigns, including its ‘A Better Way’ campaign for no-fault divorce and its work on rights for cohabiting couples.
The purpose of the Standards Committee is to ensure compliance with Resolution’s Code of Practice, which promotes a non-confrontational approach, as well as to encourage high professional standards both within the organisation and amongst family lawyers across the country.
Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham Family Law team has enjoyed numerous successes in recent months; partners Clare Wiseman and Sarah Balfour were both in cutting-edge cases in the Court of Appeal in 2018 with separate cases, Brack v Brack and Hart v Hart respectively.
The team also recently won the Private Client – Excellence in Client Service award at the 2019 Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards, and is celebrating its second year running of being top ranked in leading independent legal directory The Legal 500.
Partner Zahra Pabani joined the team from Shakespeare Martineau in November, and Tara’s latest appointment cements their position as one of the biggest and most qualified family and divorce law teams in Birmingham.
