Irwin Mitchell Advise JLL In First Letting at "Landmark", St Peter's Square Manchester
National law firm Irwin Mitchell has advised commercial real estate giant JLL on what will be the first letting at an 180,000 sq ft office development being built in St Peter's Square.
JLL is taking a 15-year lease for the 13,896 sq ft tenth floor of Landmark, which is currently under construction for owners Barings. Completion is expected in Q3 2019. The company will be relocating its 170-strong Manchester team to the site from One Piccadilly Gardens.
The Irwin Mitchell team was led by Leeds joint head of Real Estate partner James Knowles, supported by Clare Davitt and solicitor Vicki Rounding. Emily Sinclair advised on the construction aspects of the agreement.

A number of major occupiers have been already been relocating to the general St Peter Square area including Irwin Mitchell.
The Manchester office of the law firm relocated to One St Peter’s Square in June 2018, taking 33,300 sq ft of office space.
Barings' Landmark team comprises Castlebrooke Investments as development manager, architecture practice Squire & Partners, lead contractor Bowmer & Kirkland, Gardiner and Theobald as project manager, and leasing agents CBRE and Colliers International.
