Relatives Instruct Irwin Mitchell To Help Support Them Through Inquest
The family of a West London woman who died have revealed their hope that an upcoming inquest will provide vital answers regarding her death.
Tina Rainford, originally from Feltham, Hounslow, had attempted suicide on two occasions before she was found dead at home on 21 September, 2017.
The 43-year-old had suffered mental health difficulties for several months prior to her death.
An inquest is now set to be held at West London Coroner’s Court on 12 February and is listed for two days.
Tina’s family will be represented at the hearing by specialist medical negligence lawyers from Irwin Mitchell’s London office.
Expert Opinion
“This is terribly tragic case and more than a year since her death, Tina’s family remain understandably devastated by the events that unfolded just 18 months ago.
“Whilst the inquest is going to be an upsetting time for the family they hope that the hearing will provide them with vital answers regarding Tina’s death.
“If the inquest highlights any shortcomings in the care Tina received, it is vital the lessons are learned and new procedures introduced so other families don’t have to suffer the pain and anguish that Tina’s family have following her death.” Louise Forsyth - Senior Associate Solicitor
Tina’s father Ian Rainford, 69, said: “The past year or so has been incredibly hard for the whole family and while the inquest will undoubtedly be very difficult, we know it is likely to be a necessary step to see whether more could have been done to help Tina.
“We all miss her so much and just feel we deserve some answers regarding the level of support she received in the final months of her life.”
