Andrew Buckham Awarded Military Injury Specialist Status By Industry Body
A leading military injuries lawyer has revealed his delight after he was recognised for his dedication to supporting injured forces personnel with a specialist industry accreditation.
Andrew Buckham, who served in The Army for seven years before joining national law firm Irwin Mitchell, has been granted Military Injury Specialist and Assessor status by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
The specialist accreditation has been created by APIL as a mark of quality which highlights the skills of experts in the legal profession, with only those who have achieved a high standard of expertise and competence being granted the status.
Andrew, who is based at Irwin Mitchell’s Southampton office, is just the fifth person in the country to be awarded the Military Injury Specialist status. It also means he will assess applications from other professionals across the legal sector who are seeking the accreditation.
Expert Opinion
“Being recognised with this APIL accreditation is a huge honour which hopefully recognises my long-standing commitment to providing the best possible support to the brave men and women who have suffered serious injuries while serving their country.
Irwin Mitchell has undertaken work in this area for some time and we have always been committed to ensuring that our clients can access quality care and rehabilitation services to help them make the most of life.
While receiving this status is welcome, the team here will not rest on its laurels and will continue to work hard to support those who seek our advice. I also look forward to my role as an assessor and learning more about the incredible work being undertaken by other professionals across the country.”
