More than 120 Promotions for Irwin Mitchell in 2018 Across Associate and Partner Levels
Irwin Mitchell has announced seven new Partners in its latest annual promotions round.
The appointments come just a few months after the group promoted 117 staff to associate and senior associate roles.
The latest Partner promotions across the Personal Injury, Private Wealth and Business Legal Services divisions include four lawyers who have been with Irwin Mitchell for more than 10 years while two were trainees at the firm including a chartered legal executive who originally joined as a secretary.
The six women (85 per cent of those promoted) included in the latest Partner promotions round takes the number of women in Partner roles within Irwin Mitchell to 105 (41 per cent).
Irwin Mitchell was recently named as the only national top tier private client firm in the country by ePrivateclient and is ranked as the number one Personal Injury firm by both Chambers and Legal 500 independent guides to law. The law firm was also the 2nd busiest in UK courts last year in The Lawyer’s litigation tracker and was law firm of the year at the Women in Compliance Awards.
“We are always proud to recognise the hard work and dedication that our people put into making the Irwin Mitchell Group successful. Promotion to Partner is a great achievement and I congratulate all of the new Partners who thoroughly deserve their promotion.
“It’s very positive to see legal experts promoted from across all three of our main divisions; Personal Injury, Private Wealth and Business Legal Services as we all work very closely as one team to ensure our clients receive the best possible service.
“Including the Associates and Senior Associates we have now promoted 120 people across our Group which is a sign of the huge emphasis we place on investing and developing our people at all levels. We are also delighted that several of our new Partners were also once trainees at Irwin Mitchell and have shown that they can build long and successful careers here.” Andrew Tucker CEO
In Private Wealth, Sarah Balfour (Family) and Helen Hutchison (Residential Property) become Partners. Helen joined Irwin Mitchell 19 years ago as a secretary before becoming a chartered legal executive on her way to her new Partner position.
Jenny Arrowsmith (Employment) becomes a Partner in Business Legal Services.
The Personal Injury division sees Leena Savjani (Medical Negligence), Laura Middleton-Guerard (Serious Injury), Charankamal Dhaliwal (Serious Injury) and Joanne Jefferies (Workplace Illness) also made Partner.
All appointments will be subject to SRA approval and take up their new roles on 1 May 2018.
