Lucy Samy Joins Top-Tier Tax, Trusts And Estates Team

Leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth has recruited a new associate to its market-leading Tax, Trusts and Estates team in Gatwick.

Lucy Samy joins the award-winning Private Wealth division from Woking-based Mackrell Turner Garrett, where she was interim head of private client. Having qualified in 2009, she is an expert in handling all aspects of estate administration and probate, wills, trusts, powers of attorney and estate and tax planning advice.

She has also dealt with a number of Court of Protection matters, including dealing with capacity issues, statutory wills, ongoing management of affairs and contested Court of Protection applications.

Lucy is a fully accredited member of STEP and has recently completed her exams to qualify as a notary public.

The Tax, Trusts and Estates team has seen growth in recent months with the hire of senior associate Andrea Jones in Leeds in February 2018. The wider Private Wealth team also saw two new partners, Jonathan Gist and Katie McCann, join in May 2018.

The Private Wealth division was recently named as the only top-tier law firm with a national reach by eprivateclient, and the Gatwick office is highly regarded in leading independent directories The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.
