Irwin Mitchell Supports Initiative For Second Consecutive Year
The Birmingham office of national law firm Irwin Mitchell is lending its support to two major inclusive sport events which are taking place in the city across June and July to promote and raise awareness of the benefits being active.
Organised by the Disability Sport Forum, the Birmingham Inclusive Sports Festival (BISF) will offer people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds a chance to take part in a range of activities and also access information about sporting events and services available across the city.
This year the festival is based around two separate events, with the Aston Villa Academy Building on Witton Lane hosting the first on June 11th between 10am and 3pm. The second is being held at the University of Birmingham Sport and Fitness Centre in Edgbaston on July 1st from 12pm until 5pm.
Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office is backing BISF for the second consecutive year and will be on hand at both events, with staff attending a very special football challenge and also running taster sessions related to boccia.
The law firm has a longstanding commitment to disability sport through its Don’t Quit Do It campaign, which is aimed at encouraging and promoting the benefits of participation in disability and inclusive sports.
Expert Opinion
We’re incredibly proud to be lending a hand to the BISF once again, as the festival is a hugely positive and encouraging event that provides vital support to people across the city.
“It is an event that also reflects the philosophy of our Don’t Quit Do it campaign and really makes a difference by helping people get involved in sport regardless of their age or abilities.
“We would really encourage people to head along to one of the events to have fun and also discover what new sports and other activities they could take up.” Emma Rush - Partner
