Irwin Mitchell Backs Children’s Happy Hospital Fund With Three Peaks Challenge
The families of children receiving intensive care treatment at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth are set to benefit from new and improved facilities after lawyers swapped their suits for hiking boots to tackle a major fundraising challenge.
Specialist serious injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell climbed the three Welsh peaks of Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan in under 24 hours in July this year in order to raise funds for the Children’s Happy Hospital Fund.
The charity supports the Children and Young People’s Health Directorate at Derriford Hospital and lawyers from Irwin Mitchell were recently invited to celebrate the opening of new family rooms and a bathroom which were refurbished thanks to their fundraising efforts.
The facilities will enable the loved ones of children on the High Dependency Unit to stay close to them throughout their time on the Unit, providing comfort at an incredibly difficult time.
