George Merrylees Recognised By Franco-British Council
An Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth solicitor has been named a Franco-British 2018 Young Leader by the Franco-British Council.
George Merrylees, a tax, trusts and estates partner at the leading national law firm was personally selected by the jury appointed by the Franco-British Council which included prominent figures in the political, corporate and cultural sectors.
Most notably the jury was comprised of Edward Llewellyn OBE, British Ambassador to France; Rt Hon Dominic Grieve QC MP, Conservative MP; and Tristam Hunt, Director of the V&A Museum among others.
George’s selection as a Young Leader marks Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth, which has a large international team based in London, as a clear market frontrunner for international private wealth affairs and for nurturing Franco-British relations.
The tax, trusts and estates team frequently work with France and French-speaking countries in North Africa, advising them on their tax and wealth protection needs.
