Law Firm Takes Its ‘Million Makers’ Total To £60,000 In Four Years
More than 230 people representing businesses from across Manchester attended Irwin Mitchell’s ‘Roaring 20s’ charity ball on 5 October and helped raise over £17,000 for The Prince’s Trust in the process.
The 1920’s themed event took place at the Imperial War Museum North and raised money for The Prince’s Trust ‘Million Makers’ initiative. The national competition challenges teams of employees from across the UK to come together and raise £1 million in aid of the charity.
Irwin Mitchell’s recent fundraising takes the total raised for The Prince’s Trust to £60,000 over the last four years.
The event raised funds on the night through themed cocktails, a silent auction, a raffle which included prizes such as two return flights to any European destination courtesy of Jet2.com and a ‘Dine for a Year’ voucher worth over £800.
The evening was compered by Anna Macgowen with additional entertainment being provided by a themed drag queen performance and soul and funk band, The Big Kahunas.
Chris Perrin, Property Litigation partner at Irwin Mitchell, was a member of the team who organised the event.
The Prince’s Trust helps vulnerable young people move into education, training or employment, overcome huge challenges like neglect or bullying, build vital life skills such as literacy or healthy eating and provide one-to-one mentoring to help young people plan for the future.
Last year in the North West, the charity helped over 6,000 young people to turn their lives around.
