Irwin Mitchell Signed Up As Strategic Partner Of YEN
National law firm Irwin Mitchell has signed up as a Strategic Partner of leading business hub the Yorkshire Enterprise Network (YEN).
With more than 6,000 members, YEN is one of the biggest networks of private and public sector professionals across Yorkshire. It aims to increase trade potential to the region by using a range of networking, seminars, events and online advisory support.
The network enables members to provide mutual business support, to generate business referrals and to create new commercial opportunities for each other and for the wider benefit of the local economy.
It is one of the most innovative networking groups in the county and known as one of the “friendliest”, taking it’s free events, around various local bars and venues.
As a Strategic Partner, the Leeds office of Irwin Mitchell will provide YEN’s members with regular expert commentary on legal issues, access to legal updates and “know-how” guidance as well as preferential rates to its IMhrplus service, a fixed fee retainer for employment law support to businesses.
Specialist lawyers at the firm will also speak, host and attend the monthly networking events and appear on the organisation’s new video platform, YEN TV, discussing topical areas of interest.
Irwin Mitchell will share information on services such as its online HR advice service IMhrplus, Free Legal Health Check and Intellectual Property Health Check, while also providing discounted hourly rates on a range of other services to Yorkshire Enterprise Network members.
Expert Opinion
“We are delighted to partner with the Yorkshire Enterprise Network and look forward to working with its members to help support them and develop their businesses.” Jenny Arrowsmith - Partner
Sheraz Malik, Director of the Yorkshire Enterprise Network, said: “We are excited to welcome Irwin Mitchell as one of our strategic partners. They are the largest law firm in Yorkshire with 17 offices across the UK and are leaders in many fields, so their scale and level of expertise will no doubt bring huge benefits to our members.”
Other YEN Strategic Partners include UK Fast, Packetts Chartered Insurance Brokers, Aspire and Bradford College.
The partnership will be officially announced to delegates at the next YEN networking event on Thursday, September 29, which sees the networking return to Leeds after a period of concentrated support for the Bradford city centre revival.
In another first, the event takes place at Townhouse on Assembly Street, Leeds, which is reopening after being bought and refurbished by Tokyo Industries, owners of more than 30 of the UK’s coolest bars, clubs and venues.
Townhouse was once one of the most popular clubs in Leeds and well-known as a regular haunt in the 90s for footballers and soap stars from the ITV show Emmerdale until it closed around eight years ago.
It reopens under the Tokyo ownership on Saturday, September 24, so YEN delegates will be among the first through the doors. The huge three-story venue will be available for businesses to book their Christmas parties, with four different function rooms on offer for groups ranging from 50 people to 400.
The free event starts at 6pm.
