TeleData Looks To Accelerate Growth Following Deal
TeleData UK, a leading independent data centre operator and colocation service provider, has acquired 1st Easy as part of its expansion plans.
Established in 1999, 1st Easy, which has offices in Congleton and Manchester, is a cloud and hosting service provider. TeleData will use the deal to integrate its Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and a number of other hosting products into its wider offering.
Teledata has been providing colocation services from its privately owned data centre near Manchester's Airport City since 2007. It is unique in the data centre market place as it is the only provider to offer colocation, work area recovery solutions and a BS5979 alarm receiving centre within the same facility.
Following the deal, 1st Easy will continue to operate under its own brand name and all current staff are being retained.
Shaun Wilcock, TeleData chief executive, said: "This is a smart acquisition for TeleData, and a positive result for both companies, all employees and our customers.
"We will be sharing an incredible pool of talent, technology, infrastructure and market experience to better serve our customers and realise even greater opportunities in an exciting marketplace; one where uniqueness and differentiation within your offering is vitally important."
Andrea Cropley and Sam Cremore from the Corporate team at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield advised TeleData on the deal.
