Irwin Mitchell Is Raising Money For Pilgrim Bandits

Lawyers from the South Coast office of leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell are taking to the skies to take part in military charity Pilgrim Bandits’ bid to smash the Guinness World Record for the most skydives in one day.

Andrew Buckham, Emily Baker, Fiona McLeod, Nicola Maier, Alice Doherty, Stacey Daley, Kirstie Hallis and Anna Keir-Thomas are set to be among 350 tandem skydivers defying gravity over APA Netheravon, Wiltshire, on Saturday 11^th July.

They’ll be hoping to break the Guinness World Record, which was previously broken by the charity back in 2013, with all the skydivers jumping out of an aircraft at 12,000ft over a 24-hour period.

The group are raising money for Pilgrim Bandits, a Hampshire-based military charity which funds extreme expeditions and pioneering medical treatments for injured members of the armed forces and emergency services.

Most recently, the charity began funding ground-breaking hyperbaric oxygen treatment and campaigning for greater availability for all those who need it.

Irwin Mitchell’s specialist military team helped Ben Parkinson, one of the founders of the charity, to secure improved benefits for injured Service personnel through the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme. Ben was injured whilst serving in Afghanistan and sustained a number of injuries, including a major brain injury and losing both legs
