Police Considering Allegations Related To Beechwood And Others

Nottinghamshire Police have revealed they are investigating more than 50 allegations of abuse in relation to the Beechwood Children’s Home in Mapperley, as well as claims related to other four homes in the local area.

Reports have revealed that 56 people have come forward in relation to the former Nottinghamshire County Council-run home, which closed in 2006, in the past two years since six people said they had been abused at the site.

Claims are also now under investigation in relation to Bracken House in Bulwell, Ranskill Gardens in Bestwood, Wood Nook in Beechdale and Risley Hall in Derbyshire. It is thought that allegations of the abuse date back around 30 years.
