Biography
I am a solicitor in the Lifestyle and Estate Planning Team based in Birmingham. I joined the team in early May 2023 and I deal with advising clients on a variety of Private Client work including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Grants of Probate and administering estates.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell is a forward thinking law firm whose values put the client first, advising clients with a wealth of expertise but always with the human touch. At the same time all colleagues are very supportive of each other and you know you can always rely on each other.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I really enjoy helping people organise their affairs, to give them peace of mind, support them at some of the hardest times in their lives and making sure that they have the appropriate documents in place to carry out their wishes. The biggest reward for me is when a client says that they haven't found the process as complicated as they thought they would. Explaining the law clearly and any complicated terms is key!
What inspired you to get into law?
I had always been interested in law, but studying Criminology during my undergraduate degree really furthered my interest which eventually led me to Private Client law.
What do you do away from the office?
Away from the office I like to walk my dog Floki, bake various treats for friends and family (which also make their way into the office!) and travelling - the last few trips have been to Reykjavík and other parts of Iceland.
