Biography
I advise clients on non-contentious private client law, including the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. I also act for executors and administrators after a loved one has passed away by obtaining the Grant of Probate/Letters of Administration, administering the deceased's estate and advising on the intestacy provisions.
What inspired you to get into law?
I've always enjoyed learning and academic study and I therefore wanted a career that had an academic element. I'm also a "people person" and love working and connecting with people. Law, private client law in particular, combined both of these. I now enjoy researching technical areas of private client law and explaining these to my clients.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Making real connections with my clients and developing these over time. Legal advice is more than explaining the law to clients. I take the time to understand my clients' circumstances so that I can tailor my advice to suit their individual needs. It's so rewarding when clients find a legal solution that is practical for them and their family.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
The focus on client service is unmatched. Colleagues support each other and work together so that the client receives the best outcome.
What do you do away from the office?
I enjoy playing and watching sport, tennis and netball in particular. I also own a pre-war vintage car with my sisters that we enjoy driving around the country!
