Biography
I am an Associate in the Lifetime & Estate Team in Birmingham. My primary focus is based around succession planning and protection of assets for all manner of people, each with different wants and needs. I also advise clients on a wide range of additional matters including Wills and Powers of Attorney, Trusts and Estate Administration.
What inspired you to get in to law?
I always wanted to work in law, but needed to be in an area that is challenging whilst allowing me to showcase my personality. Each day working in my field is different and no two clients are ever the same which suits me nicely.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The feeling of helping a client navigate a naturally complex and emotional area of law, without the need to resort to big words or smoke and mirrors is what drives me. I advise clients with a calm approach and a sense of stability to help guide them to the best outcome for their situation and the smile of a happy client at the end of a matter never gets old!
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell is a progressive firm at its core and it continues to develop its excellent reputation in the marketplace. Once you are inside the firm, you truly appreciate the support that colleagues have for one another and the expert knowledge that helps set the firm apart from others.
What do you do away from the office?
Away from the world of laptops, suits and corporate discussions, I am usually out and about with my young family (woodland camping, zoos, restaurants or being dragged around soft play...when I can actually fit in the play area) or catching up with friends when I have some free time. I am a decent cook (thanks for the lessons Mom) and a bit of a music buff. Beyond the above, most Saturdays you will likely find me on the rugby pitch and on Sundays you will probably see me limping, following my time on the rugby pitch!
