Biography
I am a Solicitor in the medical negligence team based in our Leeds office. I joined Irwin Mitchell as a paralegal in the medical negligence team in 2016 before starting my training with the firm as a Trainee Solicitor. I qualified as a Solicitor with the firm in 2021.
I’m accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers as a Senior Litigator.
I help people who have been affected by a wide range of issues including:
-
Delay in diagnosis cases
- Surgical errors cases
- Cancer claims
- Sepsis claims
- Maternal injuries and Gynaecological cases
- Mental health claims
- Claims where families have lost a loved one as result of negligence
I understand the significant impact a medical negligence case can have on a person and I work hard to ensure my clients feel supported and understood throughout their claim.
I am also a trained Boccia Coach with Boccia England and work as part of team to run a local Boccia club.
What inspired you to get in to law?
I have wanted to be a Solicitor specialising in medical negligence since I was at school.
I always wanted to help people who found themselves going through a difficult time and support them through the tough times. I also wanted to work to promote change to prevent other families having to experience the same difficulties.
I also have a keen interest in the sciences, particularly biology and psychology so a career as a Solicitor specialising in medical negligence is the perfect fit for me.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The most rewarding aspect of my role is supporting clients throughout their case to lessen the burden and stress. I work with my clients to achieve their desired outcome whether that be getting answers, an apology or an award of damages.
If I can help improve a client’s day in any way, even if it is in a small way such as conversation with someone who understands the difficulties or to providing a listening ear to those who have lost a loved one that is a rewarding day for me.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Working at Irwin Mitchell gives me the opportunity to work for a highly ranked law firm in Legal 500 and Chambers. The work Irwin Mitchell is involved in, and that of which I can be a part of, always strives to obtain the best outcome for clients.
Irwin Mitchell is also very committed to supporting charities and I enjoy being able to be involved with this. During my time at Irwin Mitchell I have regularly supported charities such as UK Sepsis Trust and Encephalitis Society. Irwin Mitchell’s links with charities also supports our clients who may find the services of the charities beneficial.
What do you do away from the office?
Away from the office I enjoy running and swimming, spending time with my friends and family and going for long walks in the countryside.
Testimonials
“I received an outstanding service from Irwin Mitchell and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Solicitor to act on their behalf. My case lasted several years and at a critical time my Solicitor changed, Samuel Hill & his assistant Rebecca Tramaseur reassured me during this daunting time, delivering an outstanding service over the last few months of my case.” – Client, 5* Trustpilot review
“When I first started with Irwin Mitchell I expected it to be very business like. It is - extremely competent. However, with a medical negligence case, I found them to be both efficient and caring. Rebecca Tramaseur and Ross McWilliams were both patient with me and I knew they were going to do the absolute best for me. The outcome was a credit to them - I think that what they have achieved will have an impact on future cases presenting with the same symptoms. A big heart felt thank you to you both from me and my family.” – Joyce Trousdale, 5* Trustpilot review.
Irwin Mitchell have been very professional and knowledgeable. From my first contact, I have been fully informed in all aspects along the way. They have always been honest and upfront, very helpful. I have dealt with Rebecca Tramaseur throughout my claim. I found this to be a nice personal touch as she was fully aware of every issue and could answer any concerns I may have had. Which makes the whole process a lot easier. I would recommend without hesitation Irwin Mitchell to any of my family and friends should they ever have a need. - 5* Trustpilot review
"Would absolutely recommend.
I wholeheartedly recommend Irwin Mitchell. Throughout the entire process they have been transparent with everything going on, they have been very thorough and patient too.
I have to give a particular mention to Rebecca, who has been absolutely amazing throughout the entire case. Nothing was ever too much for her and she kept me so well informed all the way through. She took so much time to ensure that I was happy every step of the way and asked for my input rather than just doing it all for me, which I really liked. She made a traumatic situation easier to deal with and really was brilliant. I cannot thank her enough for all of her hard work over the last 4 years.
If you are unsure if you even have a case, I would recommend contacting Irwin Mitchell because honestly, everyone I have dealt with in the company have been so helpful, kind and reassuring." - 5* Trustpilot review
