Biography
I'm an Associate Solicitor in the Medical Negligence team in our London office. I joined Irwin Mitchell in 2017 and qualified into the Medical Negligence team in 2019.
I specialise in representing people who have been injured as a result of medical negligence by hospitals, GPs and other healthcare providers.
I manage my own varied caseload of claims and also assist other members of my team on a broad range of high-value and complex cases. I have experience in a wide range of claims including:
- Gynaecology/obstetrics
- Cardiology
- Emergency Medicine
- Infections
- Delay in diagnosis/treatment of cancer
- Neurosurgery
- Fatal claims.
I also have a specialist interest in wrongful birth claims. “Wrongful birth” is the terminology used to describe claims arising out of the birth of a child who would not have been born if the negligent treatment had not occurred. These claims usually arise from a failure to detect an abnormality during the antenatal period and are brought on behalf of the parents.
I'm motivated to achieve the best results that I can for my clients to ensure that their needs are met and to allow them to access the rehabilitation, care and support that they require in order to improve their quality of life.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I was drawn to a legal career, and in particular towards medical negligence, as I wanted a challenging career which would allow me to help others. I am privileged to be able to help support and guide clients and their families through some of the most difficult periods of their lives and I find it immensely rewarding to know that the work I do is making a direct difference to their quality of life.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
Seeing the difference that we can make to our clients’ lives. I particularly enjoy seeing the progress that our clients are able to make once we have secured the funds needed for their rehabilitation and therapies. I also enjoy seeing the improvement in our clients’ quality of life once they have an appropriate care package in place and are in suitable accommodation for their needs.
Many of our clients have questions about what went wrong during their treatment so it's very rewarding to help them get answers to their questions.

What Do You Do Away From The Office?
Outside of work I enjoy socialising with family and friends. I am a keen netball player and enjoy being active. I frequently go hiking with friends and have recently taken up paddle boarding.
