I am a Senior Associate specialising in medical negligence claims. I've worked in the area of medical negligence since 2010.
I'm a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and I have Higher Rights of Audience, which lets me represent my clients in the Highest Courts in England and Wales.
I help people across the entire field of medical negligence including:
- Birth injuries
- Delays in diagnosis
- Spinal injuries
- Cardiology
- Surgical negligence
- Sepsis.
I have a particular interest in cases relating to ‘never events’, fatalities and inquests, ophthalmology and sepsis.
Recent Cases
Nicola has recently successfully settled the below cases:
- A case for £400,000 regarding negligent surgery
- A case for £190,000 for a delay in diagnosing mouth cancer
- Concluded a claim for £100,000 concerning a delay in diagnosis of a brain tumour
- A case for £110,000 regarding a delay in diagnosing endometrial cancer.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I've always had a passion for helping others. I wanted a career which involved helping people as well as putting my reading, writing and analytical skills to good use. A career in the legal industry was the natural choice.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
The law is a fascinating field of study and it is most rewarding when I can make a positive impact for my clients. I enjoy speaking with each and every client and I give them the emotional support and legal assistance they may need.
In particular, I thrive in obtaining life changing outcomes. Securing compensation is only part of the story. I ensure that, where possible, my clients' rehabilitative and care needs are also met, not only now, but in the future.
