Biography
Michael joined Irwin Mitchell LLP in 2021 and qualified as a solicitor in the Pensions team in 2023 following a training seat with the team.
He has a broad experience of pensions, including pension governance, drafting benefit specifications, the pensions aspects of corporate transactions and security agreements, pension investments, transfers, public sector outsourcing, pensions tax issues, automatic enrolment, GMP equalisation, Scottish pensions issues, NHS and local government pensions, and life assurance matters.
Michael also helps resolve pensions disputes for trustees, employers and individuals, drawing on his experience in dispute resolution in-house at a major bank. He has also been quoted in publications including Professional Pensions and Investors Chronicle.
