Biography
I’m a Senior Welfare Benefits advisor based in our Newcastle Office in the Court of Protection Team helping clients nationwide.
My role is to ensure clients are in receipt of all benefits they are entitled to which mainly includes completing welfare benefit reviews, challenging decisions from the Department for Work and Pensions. My involvement is from initially identifying eligibility, supporting all the way through the application and decision process and if necessary challenging the decision all the way to tribunal level.
What inspired you to get into law?
My desire to help others, especially those going through a difficult time inspired my decision to study law.
What us the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The most rewarding part of my role is ensuring that clients receive the benefits they are entitled to in order to provide for their long term future.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell provides so many opportunities. From different committees such as social, environmental and charity as well as initiatives such as connect 4 to get to know colleagues there are always so many opportunities for growth.
What do you do away from the office?
I enjoy holidays, DIY at home and reality TV for some downtime!
