Biography
Matthew is an experienced employment lawyer with an impressive track-record of success as an advocate in the Employment Tribunal. He is a confident and effective negotiator and advises a range of employers from national companies to owner-managed and start-up businesses with particular experience in the Manufacturing and Logistics sector.
Matthew advises on the full complement of employment issues from TUPE and business restructures to disciplinary hearings, discrimination and equality. He is a regular speaker at CIPD seminars and training events, HR Forums and Mock Tribunals
He appeared as an employment expert on Sky Sports News discussing the tribunal claims brought by Eva Carneiro against Jose Mourinho and Chelsea Football Club.

- Matthew acted for a national not-for-profit health and fitness provider on the acquisition of various health clubs, advising the HR managers on the application of TUPE, drafting documentation and negotiating wording of asset purchase agreement.
- He acted for a Japanese food company defending complex claims concerning alleged whistle-blowing and constructive unfair dismissal in the Central London Employment Tribunal.
- He advised a medical equipment company on the TUPE provisions, indemnities and warranties for the supply of logistics services under a Framework Services Agreement.
- Matthew won case for a logistics company defending claims of age discrimination and unfair dismissal in which he conducted the advocacy at a 4 day Tribunal hearing.
