Biography
I am an experienced family lawyer, having specialised in advising clients in all aspects of divorce and separation for over 25 years. I have a reputation for being able to cut through complex cases involving significant assets and a range of issues. I have a particular expertise in cases involving farms, landed estates and trusts - all of which often involve matters relating to valuation and liquidity.
I provide clear and robust advice in all aspects of matrimonial finance, advising clients at the earliest possible stage on the most appropriate outcome in the interests of reaching a settlement without the expense, delay and uncertainty of the court process.
I am sensitive to the needs of the individual client - and the fact that although they may seek the best financial outcome, it is not always at any cost - recognising the importance of the parties maintaining a dignified relationship after the case has concluded, particularly if they have children together.

What inspired you to get into law?
My determination to work with real people and to assist them in their challenges.
What's the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Seeing a devastated client following the unexpected breakdown of their marriage build a new and independent life that, at the beginning of the case, they could not have ever envisaged could be possible. And finding happiness again.
What do you do away from the office?
With my husband, I run a smallholding on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors - where we keep sheep, hens and bees.
I have a large family and take time to see them whenever I can.
