I am a Partner specialising in medical negligence claims. This is an area I have specialised in exclusively since qualification. I was previously based at Irwin Mitchell's Manchester office (2006 – 2012) and now work in our London office.
I was awarded Solicitor of the Year in the 2021 Inspirational Women in Law awards.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
It was always a toss between journalism or law, and law won! I remember reading Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" at school and feeling very inspired by one of the central characters Atticus Finch. I made my mind up at a very young age and have stuck to my decision since!
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
Most of my clients have suffered from a serious injury or have lost a loved one due to a medical accident. The most rewarding aspect of my job is undoubtedly finding answers for these clients and making a positive difference to their lives. Litigation is a daunting prospect for most people and providing my clients with guidance and support through this difficult process is very important to me.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
I trained and qualified at Irwin Mitchell and have been with the firm since. Irwin Mitchell is a leader in many specialist areas of law and the service, knowledge and skills offered to clients is second to none.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
In my spare time I like to fit in as much exercise as possible - I enjoy running (mainly 10Ks) and I am also a fan of Bikram Yoga! My favourite holiday destination is Las Vegas and I've been four times so far (and counting!).
