Biography
I am a solicitor based in our Southampton office and represent adults and children in claims arising from all types of accidents, including but not limited to work and road traffic accidents. I have acted successfully for clients with brain and spinal injuries, amputations and chronic pain conditions. My focus is on the injured client, and obtaining earliest possible rehabilitation through interim payments or the Rehabilitation Code in order to achieve the best possible outcome. My aim is to make a real difference through my involvement. I have well over a decade of experience in helping adults and children claim compensation for personal injuries both in the UK (and formerly also claims abroad).
I am accredited as a Senior Litigator by The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
I am fluent in written and spoken German, with a good working knowledge of French and Spanish.
What inspired you to get into law?
Having experienced personal injury in the military myself, I’m aware of the traumatic effect injuries can have on people. I wanted to be in a position where I could help people and their families through this difficult time.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I enjoy helping people who’ve suffered in an accident. I’m proactive and focused on my clients and know how uncertain the time after an injury can be, especially if it results in a forced career change.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
I enjoy the camaraderie within the firm nationally and within the Southampton office. On a personal basis, I really enjoy working with my team members who are without exception dedicated, hard-working, like-minded people and truly care about their clients.
What do you do away from the office?
I have a cocker spaniel, Flynn, who is a handful and needs lots of hikes and walks - I especially enjoy some of the beautiful beach and coast walks around Hampshire and the South Coast with him. I also enjoy catching up with my family and friends who are located all over the world, and I try make sure I do some charity volunteering in my spare time as I find it keeps things in perspective and gives me some insight into my clients’ needs.
