Biography
I am a Solicitor working within the Medical Negligence Team and am based at Irwin Mitchell’s Southampton office. My role is to help clients who have experienced serious injury as a result of clinical negligence.
I began studying Law in 2016 and qualified as a Solicitor in October 2022. Since beginning my legal career, I have gained experience in a variety of areas, including Family Law and Mental Health Law.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
Before studying Law, I knew that I wanted a job that would allow me to have a positive impact on people’s lives. I considered various career paths but kept coming back to Law. Working in Law enables me to help individuals during the most important - and often most difficult - points in their lives.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
I enjoy getting to know my clients so that I am in the best possible position to help them. In addition to obtaining compensation, it is often equally important to clients that they understand what went wrong and why. An apology can go a long way and helping a client to reach this outcome is often just as rewarding as securing them a financial settlement.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
I work with a team of excellent colleagues, whose knowledge and compassion make them leaders in what they do. Irwin Mitchell is a firm that offers clients more than just legal advice, providing a full package of care to help individuals rebuild their lives after suffering harm.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
I spend my weekends in the countryside with my partner and springer spaniel, Poppy. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, sketching and anything crafty. I am a (very) fair-weathered runner.
