Biography
I'm a Solicitor in the Court of Protection team within Irwin Mitchell’s Newcastle Office. I started my career at Irwin Mitchell as a Paralegal in June 2013 specialising in helping children and adults who have sustained injuries as a result of abuse or sexual assault and Group Litigation work.
In September 2022 I was offered the chance to re-specialise as a Court of Protection Solicitor which is where I am now.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I worked as a senior manager in retail for a number of years following university and found that it was always the legal part of my role that interested me the most. So I did a law conversion, got experience in a law firm and it all went from there!
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
The most rewarding aspect of my role is the real difference that we make to the lives of our clients. Many of our clients come to us following events with catastrophic consequences. I enjoy helping to improve the quality of life of those who have suffered these life changing experiences.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
I love working alongside and learning from such hard-working and passionate lawyers and other professionals.
Irwin Mitchell have also been fantastic at allowing me to explore a new area of law, and balance my work alongside a very young family.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
Away from the office I enjoy cooking, seeing friends and family and spending time with my children!
