Biography
I am a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence team in our London office. I joined Irwin Mitchell in February 2021 and undertook my training with the firm before qualifying in medical negligence in February 2023.
As a medical negligence solicitor, I represent people who have received negligent treatment by healthcare providers, including hospitals or GPs. I have a wide-ranging caseload including claims relating to gynaecology, cardiology and delayed diagnosis of cancer. I also assist my colleagues with representing children who were injured at birth, particularly where they have suffered brain damage and will require support for the rest of their life.
I am a member of Irwin Mitchell's Community Investment Forum, through which we raise funds for the firm's 3 National Charity Partners and other charities.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
My favourite part of working at Irwin Mitchell is my colleagues. We have a supportive, friendly and dedicated environment which enables us to achieve the best results for our clients. It is also really beneficial to have such a multi-service firm around us as it enables us to offer our clients a wide range of support and guidance where needed.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The most rewarding aspect is definitely when we achieve a great result for the client. I love hearing about what a difference the process has made for them and how the compensation will improve their situation. I really enjoy getting to know my clients so achieving a great outcome for them feels even more special.
What inspired you to get into law?
I have always been interested in the law and knew that I wanted my focus to be helping others during challenging times. Our clients are usually going through a very difficult period in their life and I am motivated by the goal of achieving answers for them and improving their situations as best we can.
What do you do away from the office?
I love to travel and explore the world, particularly through food! I also enjoy training at the gym, walking and spending time with family and friends.
